I am sure that some of you will find this odd, but our front doorbell just rang and it was the local dairy offering delivery of fresh milk to our door, and I am totally pumped. We signed up, and now we'll get milk at our door three days a week. That will be wonderful.
Mike headed back this past Sunday, after a little more than a week with us. He had, unfortunately, probably one of the worst experiences with the air travel that I've heard about, but we all really enjoyed his time here - a little taste of home, if you will. Dalton and Maggie had been asking about when Uncle Mike would get here for weeks, and it seemed like it was all one big build-up to his arrival. And we did have a good time - not to mention throwing in some more sightseeing along the way. It was also good to catch up on all the goings on in 'Bama. It was also interesting - Mike reminded me of what it was like when we first got here, and all of the adjustments that we've made.
On Saturday, we ended up taking it easy - which was not a bad thing, if you ask me. We headed up for a late English breakfast at the Quality Cafe here in Merstham, which marks yet another thing off of our list. On Friday, we all went to London, only I went to work, while everyone else went to Hyde Park. I did meet them for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, however - thanks again, Mike!
This week has been fairly quiet, although the kids have been going to "work" everyday. Dalton has been getting dressed in his jacket and tie, and will come down, eat breakfast, and begin to work on his daily newspaper. He has a couple of other jobs that he has to do - such as drawing pictures, and it all has to be done by 4:00. Tough deadlines. Maggie has, of course, been helping, although she tends to be distracted by the television far too often. There's also been a Holiday Club for the kids this week, so Dalton and Maggie have gotten to do some other things, like go to Gatton Park. Today, they and Mich are headed to Littlehampton, so maybe they can get some pictures to make up for the lost ones from our last visit.

Wow, I barely remember having a milkman over here. Now if you guys could just get the Olive Tree to deliver, you'd have it made!
