A Brief Update

Quite frankly, there's not really much to update. It has been raining almost non-stop since this past Saturday. I post most (if not all) of the "exciting" stuff here, but in between weekend trips to London, life is more or less ordinary - one of the good old, "whereever you go, there you are" sort of deals.

Otherwise, I'd say that we're getting along fairly well - although here I have to give a hearty "thank you" to all the people who have sent care packages - a little package goes a long way towards making the days better and making us feel missed, as well as giving us yummy munchies. For anyone out there who is wondering the sort of things that we might like, here's some ideas:

Fruit Smilies - the Walmart brand (you can tell we're really upper crust)
Whales (Goldfish crackers)
Grits - we are totally lacking in grits, or any proximation thereof
Maple Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal - this is probably kind of weird, as they do have plenty of oatmeal and porridge type things
Chex Mix
Little Debbie Snack Cakes - brownies or Zebra Cakes
Yellow cake mix

Although, really, we're not picky and we'll take pretty much anything. We do sincerely appreciate it, and for those of you who haven't received proper "thank you's" (which is probably most of you), please realise that although we may be improper, we are appreciative, and I think it makes the kids' day.

So, anyway, as I said, there's not much to update - I've been to work, it's been raining, and so, other than a brief trip to The Olive Tree on Saturday, I think everyone other than myself has been house-bound all week.
