...For all the noble readers who I feel I have disappointed with the lack of recent activity. I hadn't realised that I hadn't posted in so long! The past couple of weeks have been challenging, to say the least. Mich fell ill, probably with strep throat, although we don't know for certain, as the doctor didn't give her a strep test, just some medicine. That was last Thursday or so - she was running a fever through the weekend, and went to see the doctor on Monday. Dalton was also feeling poorly, and so Maggie and I went into Redhill alone for the "Teddy Bear Picnic". This was a little community thing that we had signed the kids up for a few weeks back, and basically, a few churches had gotten together to sponsor a teddy bear hunt - the kids went out into the woods, and found these little sparkly teddy bear things, which they could then show to someone at the teddy bear booth, and get a Harrod's teddy bear. Then there was a picnic, with puddings (that's desserts to all you Americans) and drinks provided. So Maggie and I spent a few hours there, then we did some shopping and came home. The views from Redhill Common were great - it would be a neat place to sit and watch the lights go down on Redhill town.
On top of Michelle and Dalton not feeling well, I had a long week at work - I was out of town training for the first part of the week until Wednesday night - and then I had to work late both Thursday and Friday nights, so it has not been an easy couple of weeks. Still, yesterday was great fun, and I'll post more about it later today (or that's the plan, anyway).
