Once again, I feel I must apologise for the radio silence. With December came a rush of busyness for me at work, such that it was Thursday of this past week before I got to see the kids off to bed. Such is the life of an accountant, I suppose.
We did finally manage to put up the tree this past weekend, replete with our Christmas ornaments that we bought here last year, although Michelle has already informed me that we need to go to Harrod's to pick out an ornament for this year, and I imagine that I'll probably let the kids pick out their own ornaments as well as long-term mementoes. I also wouldn't mind dropping by Covent Garden again to see if we can find the Christmas shop that was there last year. Decorating the tree is kind of one of those traditions, where we get heavy hors d'oeuvres and play Christmas music and decorate the tree. It's something that I've been doing since I was a kid - first at my grandmother's house, then at my parents, and now at my own. It goes along with going to a Christmas Eve service. We're not entirely sure if we'll be able to make it to a Christmas Eve service this year, but we're going to give it a shot. We are also trying to slot in services at St. Paul's and Westminster, but we'll just have to see how it goes.
We've also got to make it in to see the lights, and to see the tree that is now up in Trafalgar Square. Regrettably, work has been so busy lately that I haven't even had the chance to go by Trafalgar to see the tree. Maybe this weekend. I do promise to try and get some pictures of the lights and such for posting.
After putting up the tree, we had a couple from London Pres out for dinner on Saturday, and it was good to sit and talk, and watch their daughter play with Maggie. I also listened to the SEC Championship game, and for those of you who are interested - you cannot watch online internationally. I was pretty sure that was the case, since I had tried before, but it was confirmed on Saturday, but I did get to listen, and despite the outcome, it was a good game. Sunday was Dalton's day to go to a service for his scout troop, and that wrapped up our weekend.

Take plenty of pictures when you make it out to Trafalgar Square please.
ok, I'm a little behind in my reading of the blog. First, hope ya'll are all on the mend from the colds. I've been in for three days with pnuemonia.
Please, please take logs of picture of Trafalgar Square when you go! I can't imagine anything but a wonderland at Christmas.
Also read about your little phobias/strangeness and you forgot to mention the prankster side of yourself as well as your love of vermine (e.g. lizards from the drive through, bugs, etc. that showed up on my desk!)
