True or False?

Welcome to the first installment of 30 Things in 30 Days. Basically, for the next 30 days, Michelle or I will make a daily post containing at least thirty things. I thought I’d start the 30 Things in 30 Days with something fun. Below are 30 statements about me – however, there’s a catch: although most of the statements are true, some are definitely false. So, feel free to post your guesses as to the falsehoods in the comments, and I’ll give the answers sometime before the end of the 30 days. Remember: Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction…but only sometimes. Michelle may have her own list coming soon.

1. I attended three different colleges/universities.
2. Pets I have owned include: dogs, cats, a turtle, and frogs.
3. I actually like to eat rutabaga.
4. I have never seen any of the Godfather films.
5. On one of my Scouting camping trips, I forgot our rations, and we ended up going to the camp convenience store for food. We ended up eating PB&J sandwiches and Twinkies for two straight days.
6. I once played the part of a game show host in a church play.
7. I can play the guitar and the trumpet.
8. I received speeding tickets on both my 17th and 18th birthdays.
9. I have driven a car at over 120 miles per hour.
10. I almost managed to get one of my friends shot with a shotgun, wielded by my dad.
11. I can count “cow-tipping” among the questionable activities of my youth.
12. I have owned seven different cars, at one point having owned more than one car for every year that I had been driving.
13. The only R rated film that I ever saw in the cinema while underage was “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”
14. I have had twelve different jobs, counting high school and college jobs.
15. If I had taken one more French class, I would have graduated college with a minor in French.
16. None of my siblings trust me enough to play the “Catch me when I fall” game.
17. On one of my business trips, the fire alarm went off while I was taking a shower, and I left the hotel room in only a towel…forgetting the room keys. I had to go through the hotel restaurant to get to the lobby and get a replacement key.
18. I can say the alphabet backwards at least as quickly as forwards, and maybe faster.
19. I can speak Pig Latin, Egg Latin, and Dong (aka Chinese).
20. During the five years prior to our marriage, I dated only one girl who was not named Michelle.
21. I bought my first television at the age of 35.
22. I have read every Shakespeare play at least once.
23. The first time I got poison ivy I had to miss school because it was so bad.
24. I can catch flies with my bare hands.
25. I have seen Marilyn Manson in concert, and my college roommate was one of the stage set-up personnel.
26. I can dance – well, I’ve taken ballroom dancing lessons, anyway.
27. I took Advanced Applied Linear Regression Analysis as an elective in college, and got an “A”.
28. I once “skipped” school by becoming an honorary member of the school Safety Guard for a day and participating in their doughnut sale.
29. I have been “knighted” by a bum.
30. I have swum a mile - twice.

I took a survey, and number 16 is definitely true.
