Hello luv! Or really it should be plural luvs, and drop the "h" for "allo!" It's J.'s aunt Mary from Oregon! I heard about your blog when Brad and I were back home for the wedding, and kept forgetting to get the address, but finally did!

Your blog, photos, and lists are awesome! I have been craving a blog myself lately, but I'm not sure it would draw anyone but a few knitters, nurses, grad students, birdwatchers, wildflower and plant geeks... and oh I guess it might have an audience. But a blog is something you do for yourself, such a great archive of your life and times, and for others who may care, a very interesting view into your lives and perceptions. You music and movie freaks, you!

Is this going to cut me off for length, or can I just blab on? One of the most interesting things to me was your lists of the not-to-be-forgotten times. I had to take a minute with one of Michelle's, about her telling mom (my mom) she was pregnant on the day Granddaddy ( Ellis senior) was buried (or died, sorry, which one?) It was one of those, oh geez, right, my mom> their grandmother> her father (my grandfather)> their great-grandfather CAN THIS BE RIGHT? moments. How can generational passage of time and relatedness be so surprising, and yet it is. A nice linkage feeling.

Anyway, really missed seeing you at the wedding, it was sweet and I hope someone shared decent pics, I am not so much a photojournalist as an avid people watcher and internal recorder of impressions. It was Brad's first time in Bham, first time to meet all my nephs and Erin, not to mention the hordes of great-nieces-and nephews now upon us, tho yours were sorely missing.

I cannot believe I am able to keep going, but I will hold back and just wanted to let you know I will be checking in, catching up on the photos and your impressions-- any shots of you all and Johnny and Annette on the recent spring break trip?

Much love to all and we are still having spring rains, too! Oregon and England are on the same latitude, I believe... Mary

Mary,

Thanks for dropping by! You should send me your e-mail address. I think if you click on the little envelope at the bottom of a post, you can e-mail me. I tried to e-mail you, but it appears that you don't have a gmail account. I'd love to catch up!
