Apologies to anyone who has been checking in over the past week or so, wondering what exactly has happened to the Johnsons. We are still here, we're still alive, and generally doing well, although the last couple of weeks have been rather hectic. I guess I'll pick up from the last post, in which I disclosed that we may have to move. That may or may not come to fruition after all. There's a bit of a story behind that, but at the moment we don't really know for certain whether we can stay, or if we'll have to go, but it is looking more promising.
So, anyway... this past weekend was somewhat interesting. Saturday, Mich finally agreed to take Maggie to see U2 3D. We were both worried that Maggie might be frightened by the 3D effects - when we last went to see a 3D movie ("Meet the Robinsons"), she flipped out during the previews, and so she and Mich spent the entire time wandering the theatre while Dalton and I watched the film. Instead, in the words of Maggie, "I loved it!" There's a part of me that is more than a little concerned for the child. Meanwhile, Dalton and I made it down to the Natural History Museum for Dalton's third visit. What can I say, the boy loves dinosaurs. I took some new pictures, so I'll try to post them later.
We headed straight home afterwards. Sunday, I flew to St. Louis for work. The flight and getting to the hotel took the better part of the day, as I arrived about 9 that night, which equated to 1 am on my clock. I spent Monday and Tuesday working before flying back on Tuesday night and arriving in London on Wednesday morning. Needless to say, I was a bit on the tired side. Unfortunately, while in St. Louis, I got to see the airport, the office, my hotel room, and little else. Hopefully next time I'll have more time to spare.
We also now have visitors. Mich's friend Tracy and her mom arrived Thursday morning. We went to Redhill last night, and Mich continued her U2 fest by seeing U2 UK, a U2 cover band, with Tracy. I was still in dire need of sleep, so I personally called it an early night. I'll try to give another update soon, as I think this weekend will be fun.
