At least, as normal as things can be over here. I started reading to Dalton again tonight, this time beginning on the Harry Potter series of books. I finished reading The Hobbit to him shortly before we left for Paris, so we needed something new to read. I've been reading Winnie-the-Pooh to Maggie - we were able to find a hard back copy of the complete Winnie-the-Pooh stories here which we've been going through.
My personal reading has slacked off - I did finish A Tale of Two Cities and Oliver Twist by Dickens before deciding that I needed to take it easy for a bit, at least on the trains. Nonetheless, I am working through The Children of Hurin (quick shout out to Tom, Mary, and Mike for that), and re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In case you can't tell, I am an avid reader, and I tend to read multiple books simultaneously.
At any rate, Dalton has returned to school, and is getting used to a new teacher (his classmates are more or less the same), and Michelle has begun home-schooling Maggie. I won't go into all the details here, but let's just say the local council has been less than helpful in finding a school for Maggie - so until further notice, we're home-schooling.
Michelle went to Shere earlier this week, which is one of the locations where The Holiday was filmed. I imagine I'll post some of her pictures later on this weekend. Interestingly, the house where Cameron Diaz stays was made of plastic, and was demolished after the film. Still, she and the kids had a good time.
That's about it. Me, I'm just trying to get back in the swing of things at work. Funny how even just a week off makes you feel out of it.
