Another exciting post!!

Um, okay, well, maybe not so much.

This weekend was filled with visits, and so not much happened in the way of actual preparation for our trip other than days passing, which caused the trip to get closer. We're having another minor crisis at the moment as the tickets are booked for the day before the visas of Mich & the kids are active. Although I called the consulate and the person I spoke to said this was not a problem, I'm still having a little heartburn over it. However, the change fee to change tickets is $200 per ticket, so I may have to have some faith...

So, anyway, Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt, with Bun and his boys, and Dalton & Maggie really seemed to enjoy that. Then my mom & dad & Mimi came over to visit. I think by that point, we were both ready to call it a day, and so we ate and lounged the remainder of the evening. Sunday morning we went to church, and made it most of the way through the service before I took the kids downstairs to Sunday school. Then we went to my mom & dad's house for lunch, left around three or so, and went to Mich's parents house. It was the kid's bedtime by the time we got home, and quite frankly, once again I didn't feel like doing much. We may have packed a little early on Saturday but that's about it.

On Friday, the first of the guys who are doing the shipping surveys came out to the house. He didn't seem to know much about shipping, for his "25 years of experience, doing 700 surveys a year", given that he couldn't tell us how long it would take to ship, how much room we would have, etc., etc. I did talk to someone this morning who said it takes 5 - 8 weeks to ship. Wow. We were anticipating shipping sometime around the middle of next month. Now, I believe we'll be trying to ship ASAP. Even so, given that timeline, the shipment may not even arrive until after Mich and the kids.

The other thing that we are trying to do is to sell some of the larger pieces of furniture that we are not taking or cannot take. There's only a handful of items, but we really need to dispose of them. So, if anyone knows someone who's looking for some decent used furniture, let us know.
